What is not collected

Grade Index has nothing that follows who you are. What we count is how many times each page was read.

Unless you sign in, the only thing that reaches these servers is the one line described under “Sent automatically” below. Favorites and display settings stay on your own device.

What is kept when you sign in

Signing in is through Google only. No passwords are handled. What comes back from Google is just two things — an ID that tells accounts apart, and an email address; no name, no picture.

Alongside that, your favorite players and teams, the pages you looked at recently and your display settings are stored, so that signing in on another device shows you the same things.

Signing out also clears what is stored on that device. To remove the account itself, use “Delete account” on My page: everything we hold is deleted, and it cannot be undone. Any paid plan is canceled. Payment records stay with Link, the seller.

Cookies

Only for signed-in visitors, a cookie is set to keep you signed in. There is not a single advertising or analytics cookie, which is why you are never asked to consent to any.

Requests to other companies

We run no ad, social or third-party font components that would send traffic elsewhere. There are three exceptions, of two kinds.

Sent automatically

When a page opens, we record which pages are being read with Cloudflare (web analytics). It sets no cookies and does not follow who you are — it only counts.

Only when you arrive through the link on our Instagram profile, we also keep one line on our own server: the time, language, country, device type (phone or desktop) and whether it opened inside an app. No IP address, and nothing that could identify you.

Only when you press

Pressing sign in takes you to Google, and subscribing or managing a paid plan takes you to Stripe.

Payments

Payments for the paid plans are handled by Stripe. Card numbers never pass through this site — they are entered on Stripe's own page, and this site neither receives nor stores them.

What is stored here is only the customer id issued by Stripe and the state of your subscription — which plan, and whether it is active.

The sale and the payment are handled by Link, LLC, Stripe's merchant of record. Receipts, invoices and cancellation notices come from Link, and you can also manage the subscription on Link's own pages.

How this site is served

This site is served through Cloudflare. In the course of delivering pages, ordinary access records such as the requesting IP address arise on their side. Those exist for delivery and security, and are never used here to identify anyone.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete what is held about you. You can also delete it yourself with “Delete account” on My page. This applies wherever you live.

What is kept is held for as long as the account exists, and deleted the moment the account is. It is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, which is not necessarily in Japan.

Changes to this notice

If advertising is added later, this notice will be rewritten before it goes in.
